Mrs. Thompson is an original Timberwolf! She taught math for 12 years with 8 of those years being at Tomahawk Creek. She grew up in Chesterfield County and graduated from James River High School. She attended James Madison University and fell in love with teaching when she would substitute during her summer breaks. She started her teaching career at Chester Middle school, the oldest school in the county at the time, and decided to make the switch to the newest school in the county when Tomahawk Creek opened.

She was urged by many of her leaders in the past to take the leap into administration. Heeding their advice, she received her Master’s Degree in Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Richmond.

She and her husband have a son and a daughter together; who will be in 10th and 6th grade respectively. When she isn’t being an administrator or a mom, she is either swimming, enjoying the outdoors, or relaxing.

She is passionate about the relationships that develop when working with students and feels that kindness, communication, and teamwork are crucial in building a successful partnership. She is honored to be the third principal of Tomahawk Creek Middle School and feels so lucky to work with such an amazing staff and community.

Dr. Teasley joined Tomahawk Creek Middle School as an assistant principal in 2021. He is excited to serve as the 8th grade administrator for the 2026-2027 school year. Dr. Teasley has 22 years of educational experience, teaching Health & Physical Education for 15 years in Petersburg City and Richmond City Public Schools, prior to joining Chesterfield County Public Schools in 2019 as a Dean of Students at Falling Creek Middle School.

Dr. Teasley earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Health & Physical Education from Virginia State University in 2001, Master of Arts in Human Services: Mental Health & Wellness from Liberty University in 2014, Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University in 2016, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Liberty University in 2021. Dr. Teasley is also a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling since 2018.

This year marks Mrs. Walker’s 21st year with Chesterfield County Public Schools. She began her career teaching Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 5th grade at Bellwood Elementary before continuing as a 5th grade teacher at O.B. Gates Elementary. She is now entering her 7th year at Tomahawk Creek Middle School, where she proudly serves as an Assistant Principal and the 7th grade administrator.

Mrs. Walker is a proud graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and Longwood University. She has earned an Associate of Science degree, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Education, and an Endorsement in Administration and Supervision.

Outside of school, Mrs. Walker has been happily married for 15 years and is the proud mother of four wonderful children. She is excited to continue partnering with students, families, and staff as she supports the 7th grade Timberwolves and looks forward to another outstanding school year at Tomahawk Creek Middle School.

Mr. Flanary has been a member of the oneCCPS team since 2015 and at Tomahawk Creek Middle School since 2018. His entire educational career has been in the field of special education, where he has taught Math, Science and Social Studies at the secondary level. His ability to connect with staff and students make him an integral part of the TCMS family as he serves in his role as Dean of Students.

A product of the Virginia Tech School of Education, Mr. Flanary earned his Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in 2019. He also holds a Bachelors of Arts in Oral Communications from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.

Originally from Louisville, KY, Mr. Flanary and his wife relocated from Nashville to Richmond in 2015. They and their four children can often be found at the beach, playground or pool. Their oldest will be entering the 2nd grade this upcoming school year.

As Dean of Students for the 26/27 school year, Mr. Flanary will use his diverse professional experience to serve as the 6th grade administrator and will oversee the departments of Special Education, Mathematics and Facilities.
